Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance Form

This is a link to the Pennsylvania Dept. of Public Welfare's Child Abuse Clearance sub-page. Contrary to popular belief, this service is not offered online. The form must be completed and mailed in to them along with your $10. Explanations and instructions can be found on the page.

National Alliance for Youth Sports Coaching Certification/Initial Membership

This is a link to the website www.nays.org where you can find up-to-date information regarding youth sports, specifically clinics on any sport you may be coaching, as well as safety courses which are required by SLYFA in order to coach. The fee is $20 and with the membership, you gain access to $1,000,000 in liability insurance as well as other items such as e-newsletters and coaching manuals. Make sure to watch the "Coaching Youth Sports Training Video" and take the quiz after. Submit your certificate to the SLYFA Executive Board.
