The snack stand is a huge fundraiser for SLYFA! To run successfully, each family is required to work a minimum of one (1) practice night shifts and a minimum of one (1) game day shift. A game day shift is considered to be one entire game on game day, not the entire day. Please see SLYFA Bylaw regarding snack stand rules posted below.
It is better to work the practice night shifts before your game day shift to familiarize yourself with the snack stand and its operation. Snack Stand Practice sign ups must be completed by equipment by hand out.
Each family is asked to contribute a minimum of one (1) case of Gatorade/Soda and one (1) case of water for the season.
On game days throughout the season we are in need of meal donations. The week of a home game look for signup requests from the snack stand coordinator. You donations help turn a profit which gives SLYFA more opportunity for new equipment, special events, etc.
No child under the age of 14 is permitted in the snack stand without prior authorization from the snack stand director.
Donations that are accepted all season long and are very much appreciated:
Cases of soda
Cases of water
Cases of Arnold Palmer’s Half/Half
Paper products (napkins, paper towels, etc)
Mustard
Ketchup
BBQ sauce
Taco meat (cooked and in containers or bags that can be frozen-if you want the container back, please make sure your name is on it)
Your help is greatly appreciated! We look forward to a great season!
SLYFA Bylaws Article XI, Section 11:
Parents or Guardians are required to work two practices and one game in the snack stand. When a parent or Guardian does not make their scheduled shift, whether it be for a game or practice, their football player or cheerleader can practice, but will not participate in the next game. The player or cheerleader must still attend the game, but will not participate. The deadline to sign up is by equipment handout.
You can always find us in the Snack Shack!
